Là où passe la nuit is the fourth album and first full-length record by Louise Roam. An astonishing artist who freely embraces delicate, powerful, and elegant electro-pop. A record lasting over an hour that listens closely to the world to better open up intimate and silent spaces within us. Time folds and unfolds, leading us to walk in the dark, towards the invisible and the unpredictable contained within each of us.
Louise’s voice — spoken and sung — blends with Moog, Prophet, and granular synthesizers, as well as violin and piano. Sounds gathered from reality, re-amped, become the substance of sensitive and cinematic landscapes.
The writing, in fragments (cut-up) and expanded states of consciousness, connects memory and present like a subtle thread. Each track opens a door: spaces expand, textures breathe, and a radical tenderness watches over it all.
This album was conceived as a total experience, extended by the contemplative images of video clips directed by the artist, her immersive concert-performance experience in multi-diffusion, and a paper edition featuring texts and photos by the artist.
Available on double vinyl, CD and paper edition (texts & photos).
