At the end of 2006, Léonard Lasry released "Des illusions," his debut album recorded piano-voice at Studio de Meudon.
Accompanied by Stéphane Cochet on piano, Léonard Lasry delivers a first collection of songs, blending tenderness, humor, and derision. He covers "On se voit se voir" by André Téchiné & Philippe Sarde, the flagship song from the film "Barocco." He also invites Veronique Bossa on "Le cou lavé" and Marie France on "Du désir au bout des doigts," a tribute song to the singer created as the imaginary theme song for a mini-revue that would bring them together. This debut album also evokes a direct connection to the records of singer-songwriters such as Frédéric Botton, Jean-Claude Vannier, and Michel Legrand. Léonard Lasry, then 24 years old, signed a remarkably mature album and laid the solid foundations for a personal universe that would only grow stronger over time.
