Arriving from his native Brazil in 2009, Mayu trained at the Conservatoire d'Agen, then was taken under the wing of Aurélie Cabrel and Esthen Dehut, who saw inestimable potential in him. His first album, Espérance, is released this year. A first single, "Parle moi du soleil", a luminous tune written by Francis Cabrel, showcases a smooth and captivating voice. In this intimate debut album, Mayu builds bridges between French chanson, jazz, and Brazilian popular music with an originality that grabs your ear from the very first listen.
