Fabien Martin | Littoral Augmenté
Fabien Martin makes his return with Littoral Augmenté, an album of hybrid pop, between memory and transformation.
He revisits Littoral (2014), which had long been dormant, to create a cohesive, accomplished record.
Three unearthed unreleased tracks, nine reworked, remixed, sometimes re-sung tracks, as an act of intimate re-appropriation.
We find Mathieu Boogaerts, Mike Ibrahim, and the ghosts of Christophe and Elvis for Darling, a timeless slow dance.
As for REMAKE (collective melancholy), it asks the question: what if we started all over again, but better?
Eighties keyboards, nonchalant drum machines, bass like buoys, and a relaxed drum beat give the record a raw and luminous sound, with a disenchanted groove.
Unadorned vocals, finely crafted lyrics, and subtle humor: Fabien carves out a free and singular path. Handmade pop, without pretense, anchored in the times but detached from trends.
