Glass Coat is the solo project of a Parisian producer who has lived in Copenhagen, Atlanta, Seattle, and Taipei, and is now based in Shanghai. Originally inspired by 90s electro (the Warp label, with Autechre and Aphex Twin), Massive Attack and Tricky's trip-hop, and Scandinavian electronic music (The Knife, Trentemoller, Royksopp), the project has evolved over several EPs towards a more experimental sound, based on drones, repurposed and reorganized sounds, and digital files reprocessed through analog machines.
