Gystere - A Little Story

A colorful character straight out of an epic fresco, Gystere unveils his first album: A Little Story. In ten episodes, the musical exquisite corpse comes to life and decidedly bursts out of the usual boxes. Between science fiction imagery, modern psych-funk and pop, Gystere propels his DIY spaceship with 70s and 80s craftsmanship, conveying anti-racist and anti-sexist messages hidden beneath truly formidable hit songs. Beneath the splendor of vocal harmonies and acrobatic chord progressions unfolds the breadth of the musical project, between spiritual soul and Afro-prog. Backed by a powerful six-piece live band (the Gystere Live Gang), he now brings together subtle groove, intricate songwriting and heightened psychedelia, under an Afro-futurist theme that harks back to 70s voodoo jazz-funk as much as to the anti-racist activism of our time.
