More than thirty years after it was recorded, Marie France's Une fille à colorier is finally about to see the light of day. Long kept in the shadows, this unreleased album will be issued for the very first time on the 29 Music label.

Recorded with the Studio Garage team, the album is the result of a series of remarkably refined collaborations. Surrounding Marie France, a mythical figure of the Parisian underground, were some of the most creative artists of the era: Les Rita Mitsouko, who wrote an original song for her, singer Marc Almond (Soft Cell), lyricist Jacques Duvall, and Euston Jones.

At the heart of the album lies a completely unreleased gem: "Erotico Tico", a track never heard, never published. Composed by Serge Gainsbourg in the 1960s and written by Denise Glaser, the piece was originally conceived for the soundtrack of the film Les Cœurs verts (1966), before Gainsbourg ultimately released only an instrumental version for the film "Comme trouvez-vous ma soeur?". Marie France recorded her own interpretation in the early 1990s: it is now unveiled for the very first time.

Une fille à colorier also features a captivating rendition of the Spanish classic "Noche de ronda", a pop-wave take on "Autumn Leaves" (Les feuilles mortes) in duet with Marc Almond, and one of the most beautiful songs in Marie France's repertoire, "The Flame", a haunting torch-song that has become a cult favorite among her admirers. With Une fille à colorier, it's more than a previously unreleased album resurfacing: it's a hidden secret of French pop finally brought into the light.
