Rhythms that seem to rise in a whirlwind of air, reverberations that linger and haunt long like happy ghosts, surreptitious melodies that float in the mind, tunes from very different places, played from all corners of the planet. ​

The new album by NLF3 continues, while refining, the history of this French band. A history that begins with a resurrection. After the end of Prohibition, their first band, in 1999, the Laureau brothers turned to a new musical vein, they took a truly disjointed and free path, while stemming from the same roots as their previous band. Namely: music born from an idea of rock but with more flexible and airy frameworks, open to all possibilities, including a plurality of horizons. ​

Their music, under the name of NLF3, had to be open from the start to other forms and aesthetics, capable of integrating a great diversity of sounds, born as their tastes and desires evolved. Thus, NLF3 was born 20 years ago, and its first recordings bear witness to both an era and a singularity. Drawing from the contemporary, the first records under this name sought something in the middle of a river whose banks were on one side pure abstraction and on the other the hypnosis of rhythm.
