Within Erevan Tusk, one of the most acclaimed pop bands of the 2010s, Pacôme fully unveiled his two-speed songwriter's toolkit, where his penchant for experimental DIY tinkering nestled into pop songs filled with rock fervor, in the vein of Band of Horses and Arcade Fire. After the band's split, Pacôme ventured solo. He shared a tour with Don Niño. An extension of a 'Debut Album' that had already made a strong impression in 2021, 'Hestia' reflects his predisposition for a whimsical pop that prefers to humbly embark on uncharted paths rather than taking the shortest route from one point to another. Pacôme Genty here flirts with the atmospheres of Bedroom Pop and the most creative 1980s Lo-Fi ambient. Discreet touches reveal reminiscences of the instrumental experimentations from Made to Measure compilations (Harold Budd, Penguin Cafe Orchestra...). "There are a lot of synthesizers, electric guitar but also flutes, clarinet, and twelve-string acoustic guitar. Between a walk in the woods, a fireside vigil, and the fading summer warmth, this dream pavilion invites you to snuggle into a cocoon so comforting that you no longer want to leave it. A complete, serene album, which suggests that Pacôme, after having "searched for years for a place that suited him," may have finally found it. Has Hestia granted him her blessing?
