This is a portrait of Doriand, whose writing talents have been enlisted by the most demanding artists — earning him the distinction of "Author of the Year 2019" by the CSDEM.55
Revealed by his first hit in 1996, "Au diable le paradis," the forty-something from Gironde already boasts a collection of four critically acclaimed solo albums.
But popular success has primarily come from the songs he has written for L5 ("Toutes les femmes de ta vie"), Julien Doré ("Les bords de mer"), Mika ("Boum Boum Boum" and "Elle me dit"), or for Alain Bashung (two songs on the recent, posthumous, and "Victoire"-winning En Amont), Michel Polnareff (several songs from Enfin), as well as for Camélia Jordana, Lio, Keren Ann, Sylvie Vartan, Helena Noguerra, Pauline Croze, Emmanuelle Seigner, Robbie Williams, or the French adaptations of Josef Salvat's hit "Une autre saison."
It became obvious and natural for Doriand to gather his friends for the creation of "Portraits," featuring Mika, Keren Ann and Edith Fambuena (Les Valentins/Daho), Brigitte, Peter Von Poehl, Lio, Helena Noguerra, Albin de la Simone, and Philippe Katerine.
