David McNeil (lyricist for Julien Clerc, Jacques Dutronc, Alain Souchon, Laurent Voulzy, Robert Charlebois, -M-, Yves Montand and many others) is one of France's greatest singer-songwriters. This jack-of-all-trades is releasing his new album Le blues de l’homme blanc at the same time as his latest novel Quelques mots à propos de quelques voitures rouges in Gallimard's prestigious "collection blanche". Here, he delivers a little gem, including unreleased and re-orchestrated tracks with the participation of his friends, notably Robert Charlebois, Alain Souchon, Maxime Le Forestier and Carla Bruni.
