After the success of her first EP "Par Avance" (2021) (over 3 million streams, opening acts for Gaël Faye, Sofiane Pamart, Julien Doré, IAM, MC Solaar, Louane, and two sold-out Parisian dates at Le Point Éphémère and La Maroquinerie), George Ka returns with her debut album "Les Rebords du Monde" produced by Louxor (who has previously collaborated with Georgio, Gaël Faye, Jain).
Inspired by shared urban spaces, oscillating between introspection and collective connection, George Ka delivers 11 tracks that blend pop and electronic sounds. From a romantic refrain with drums and cello (L'Espagne), an up-tempo electro track about sisterhood (Lenny, Le Même corps), a 2-step inspired exchange with Fils Cara (Basic Fit), committed poems on synth pads (Bus 115), to a voice-cello interlude ballad (Kanske), this album gracefully moves from one world to another.
With precise, intuitive writing, always searching for the right word, each verse does justice to the intimate and the political, revealing the full extent of George Ka's lyricist talent. This album is a gentle and urgent cry, an invitation to contemplate and build together through our differences. To accompany the release of this first opus, George Ka has booked a show at Le Trianon for November 2025 and will be part of the Printemps de Bourges 2025 lineup.
