Various Artists - reSET

The idea behind this project was to propose collaborations between artists in the form of residencies, followed by shooting a music video for the track created in visually strong, unusual spaces that were not originally dedicated to music dissemination (museums, libraries, gardens, etc.). The reSET project originated from four entities: Le Kalif, a music school and rehearsal studio; Mouton Noir Records, an an independent label; Heavy Club, a collective working with visuals—photographers, videographers, graphic designers, web designers, etc.; and Distance Tour Booking, a booking and management agency. Four music videos were produced by four artistic pairs from the Normandy region: Museau (pop synthetic hybrid) + Roches Noires (deep electronica), Brook Line (electro) + Modern Men (noise punk), Christine (electro dark synthwave) + Zadig (techno), and Miah Moss (RnB pop) + Ronnie’s Visit (cloud rap). This project is now coming to an end. We have invited each artist to submit an unreleased track they would like to see featured on a compilation that brings together all the tracks produced during the reSET project, along with a bonus remix of the track RIDE ON by the electronic producer BIRRD.
