"Strategies Against Happiness" is the first EP from the Glass Coat project, following the release of three singles between 2015 and 2018 and multiple relocations, from Copenhagen to Atlanta, then Seattle, Paris, and finally Taipei. Recorded throughout these years, the first EP was assembled in Paris then mixed by Florent LIVET and mastered by Chab, to remain true to the artist's Parisian origins. Inspired by Scandinavian music (The Knife, Röyksopp, 120 Days, Trentemoller, Djuna Barnes, etc.), the project incorporates American influences (John Carpenter, Laurel Halo, Hiro Kone) and seeks to create soundscapes, like so many films without images that represent the real and imaginary cities in which these tracks were composed. The EP's title is a nod to Einsturzende Neubauten, and their "Strategies against architecture."
