Glass Coat is the solo project of a Parisian producer who has lived in Copenhagen, Atlanta, Seattle, and Taipei, and is now based in Shanghai. Originally inspired by 90s electro (the Warp label, with Autechre and Aphex Twin), trip hop from Massive Attack and Tricky, and Scandinavian electro (The Knife, Trentemoller, Royksopp), the project has evolved over the EPs towards more experimental music, based on drones, found and re-arranged sounds, and digital files processed through analog machines.
