After being the frontman of the group "3 Minutes Sur Mer", a semi-finalist on The Voice, and playing Victor in Marc Lavoine's musical "Les Souliers Rouges", Guilhem Valayé returns with his first French-language folk/blues EP, "Aubrac", influenced by the electric buzz of Montreal.
It's a social and ecological observation, a look at the complex beauty of human relationships. But also a return to simple, stark, rustic land for a raw and intimate guitar/vocal album. The track "Veux-tu?" illustrates the sober strength of this EP, with its delay guitars, hazy synths, and the obstinacy of a modular bass echoing the choruses of wide-open spaces. It paints the hope of finding in the hand of another the answers to collapses.
