"Moonshine Corner," the first album by Joon Moon, partly named after a bar in Austin where the band used to meet during their first mini-US tour, is thus the encounter of four people who might never have met, at the intersection of a crossroads called melancholy. Recorded with vintage instruments from the 60s and 70s, and mixed with current production techniques, "Moonshine Corner" plays the card of subtle modernity, taking us on a journey, throughout its twelve tracks, between pop and trip-hop, folk and soul, jazz and electro layers, discreetly drawing its knowledge of amorous groove from the likes of Radiohead, Neil Young, or Zero 7.
